i am an English Education Major, what other careers might be good for me?

I have been a teacher for a while, but i am concidering that this may not be the career for me. My degree, however, is in English Education...and i don't know what other careers I should look into for myself...

It's really hard to beat the pay, benefits and working conditions given to public school teachers. (This is why it's hard for many of us to get hired in the first place.)

I can't think of a better professional for you than working in the public schools.

Many teachers think teaching is a bad job, because they've never worked in the private sector. There are many jobs out there that are worst than teaching. Also, teachers get a lot of time off and have great pensions. (Very few of us have any of the great benefits given to public school teachers.)

    Good luck.

You can do anything you really want to do. A degree is only there to tell people that you went to school for something. But if your looking for something in the English field. Try doing PR work, editing, or writing.
