I finally quit smoking 5 weeks ago. I find when I do any kind of physical activity my lungs burn...?
Does anyone know if this is a normal process in quitting. I've tried googling it but can't find anything on it. My lungs never burned like this when I was smoking. (I do have lung damage from pneumonia which I had about 4 years ago)

There is not a real physical withdraw from cannabis withdrawal but there ofter is a mental one. You state 1 1/2 months into smoking you felt different. Hello that's why people use drugs so they don't have to think. You were in a dream created by POT. But great for you for stopping on your own. Are you using any other drugs, including alcohol???????? Sometimes it takes a while to get back to NORMAL, keep playing chess, and reading anything to get your mind working again. The brief period that you used you should get all normal functioning back. You would be a great spokes person in schools for why not to experiment with drugs. Good Luck

Well I can tell you it won't be killing you to quit.
I quit almost 3 years ago you are still new at this, your lungs are still blackened. Give it time and you will get better.

It is normal. I would reduce the intensity of the workouts, but still keep it up.
