How do Celtic Pagans celebrate their birthdays?

today, it's Kallan's birthday! She has been a great friend to me on R&S and on 360. She is honest, intelligent, caring and loving. I think she is someone I'd want to be like when I grow up :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KALLAN!

Do I need to know anything about some Pagan birthday rituals?

lol thank you, Tig! I celebrate mine pretty much like everyone else. My kids are taking me out to dinner (I'm out of town for my birthday), we'll have a cake and I'll open presents.. that's about it. I've had tons of lovely birthday wishes from friends today.. it's been wonderful.

Thank you again, you're a most excellent friend!

Obviously they all forgot about righteous Job, whose children were all together "celebrating a birthday"...They had been doing so for a long time before that I am sure, but it also happened to be when they were all "gathered together" that Satan's deed was wrought. It could have been at a wedding party, Or it could have been at a family feast that was held yearly....? Who knows why that day, and possibly 2 others mentioned in scripture were singled out by Jehovah's Witnesses to signify that these "Birthday" celebrations were ALL pagan? The truth of the matter is what Lil Miss Sunshine is pointing this question's attention to... "Why pick on Specific days, that are not in any way offensive to God or Jesus, like a mother remembering the day of her childrens birth, and cherishing that day in her heart, as only a mother can do? Or do you not remember that the announcment of Jesus' birth was given wonderful attention? When Jesus was born, He was worshiped. Maybe that's really what this is all about?

With Celtic people, it would seem lots of lively music is appropriate.

    (((Kallan))) Happy birthday!

If she's proper Celtic, then with a bottle of whiskey and a few noisy friends.

They dance naked in the woods.

OK...that is probably fantasy, but let me have it. I'm old, I need something.
