Christians - which would you save?

If you are in a burning clinic and you are faced with the unbearable choice of rescuing a 3 year old child or a petri dish full of human embryos (let's say 20 for sake of argument)... which would you pick to save?

Keep in mind, that it's a human embryo, and according to pro-lifers, it is considered to be a living human being with a soul. So you have 20 lives at stake vs. 1. Do you risk your life to save the 20 unborn embryos or the one 3 year old kid?

Please explain your answer. Thanks!

Update:

OK - let's say they are each located in different parts of the burning down clinic. You only have time to make it to one room before the whole place collapses.

The merit is how pro-life people are against abortion, so the decision is whether or not to save 20 potential lives or the one already born. According to previous questions I have asked, a soul is placed at the moment of conception... so it's 20 souls or 1 soul type of choice.

Update 2:

I just think it's a great morality question.

The kid, but that doesn't make it the right choice, necessarily.

It's just human nature to rescue what is looking at you.

An equivalent, impossible question would be: "Would you rescue a person who you could see and who was pleading with you or a person in a room that you couldn't see or hear first?"

Both people, and Christians have natural human inclinations on a matter like this, just like everyone else. It doesn't say anything about our beliefs and whether or not they are valid.

Sorry, I would go with the kid. But your question is not a very great one. It's geared to be provocative. Substitute 20 adults in wheel chairs for the embryos, or 20 people over 80 years of age or 20 of your brothers and sisters or children.

All anyone can do is all that they can do. Many people have died trying to save someone that they couldn't save. As a parent, I have often considered what would I do if 2 of my kids were drowning and all I could save was one. I still don't know and they are now adults. What I do know, is that I would everything that I could to get them both including giving my own life.

I would save the 3 year old because he has a life to lose while the embryos aren't yet alive.

keep in mind that I'm not a pro-lifer and I don't believe asking dumb questions, however , i will answer them so you have things to do with your empty life.

The three-year-old. She is a live human being. The embryos are potential life and should be treated with respect, but I only have two arms.

I'll take the 3 year old. He's the sure thing. The embryos may never make it 9 months.

    For Christ sake

All this guys saying they will grab the dish

I think most of you would run away and save them save them self’s and let the kid burn

Do you think you would really care for a ******* embryo dish?

When all around there is fire

Every one would save the kid. Or let I t die

But you got to be mental if you would really save the dish

The 3 year old. I'm a traditionalist...at the first breath is technically human life.

Silly rabbit! A "burn clinic" is not for burning people, it's for fixing them up AFTER they get burned. All you have to do is give the petri dish to the three-year-old and rescue him. Then it won't be your fault.

    Wait a minute, you're not a rabbit!
