  • Islam! Man punished for walking his dog?

A 70-year-old Iranian man was arrested and sentenced to four months in jail and 30 lashes for walking his dog, Adnkronos.com reported Tuesday. Police caught the man on the street with his dog in Shahr Rey, a suburb of Tehran.

Owners of domestic animals are forbidden from taking them on the streets of the city because Islam considers dogs to be impure. An Islamic judge later charged the man for "disturbing the public order.

Does ISLAM really consider a dog an impure animal and should an old man be put in jail and then get 30 lashes just for walking his pet?

  • How could Ezekiel be so wrong, even with God's help?

In Ezekiel 29 - 30, he goes on this big rant type threat where he proclaims that Egypt will be taken over by Nebuchadnezzar and that the rivers will become dry and that the land will become a desolate waste... and he is one of God's prophets, so how did this prophecy fail so miserably?

Was he just a crazy old man mouthing off and talking big? Idle threats anyone?

  • Christians - which would you save?

If you are in a burning clinic and you are faced with the unbearable choice of rescuing a 3 year old child or a petri dish full of human embryos (let's say 20 for sake of argument)... which would you pick to save?

Keep in mind, that it's a human embryo, and according to pro-lifers, it is considered to be a living human being with a soul. So you have 20 lives at stake vs. 1. Do you risk your life to save the 20 unborn embryos or the one 3 year old kid?

    Please explain your answer. Thanks!

  • Why did God kill King David's baby son as a punishment?

In 2 Samuel 11 and 12 we read about King David and the sins that he has done. He took another man's wife to be his own, sent that man out to be killed in battle and after that took the man's wife to be his own. She then bore a son. But King David's actions displeased the lord... So God then punishes King David by giving his wives to other men and then KILLING the son bore to him.

I don't know about you guys, but I would think with all the great power and knowledge that God is supposed to have, he could have come up with a better way to punish David.

For starters, the wives shouldn't be sent around to other men to punish him, and more importantly... KILLING A BABY because you do not approve of the father? WTF?

So why does God see it fit to kill a baby to punish the sins of the father?

  • Christians - can we hold Jesus accountable for murder?

If Jesus and God are basically one and the same by way of the Trinity... can we hold Jesus accountable for murder when God sent 2 bears out to kill 42 children for calling Elisha "bald head"?

So wouldn't the transgression of God sending bears to murder little children be passed on to Jesus? If we were to put this on trial now, would Jesus be held accountable for the murder of the 42 little children all for mocking mean old Elisha?

  • Christians - if god made us out of dirt, why is there still dirt?

This is my little counter argument to the completely ridiculous assertion that if we evolved from "monkeys" then why are there still monkeys.

    see: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AhN3p...

For starters, the people who ask the why are there still monkeys question are showing that they lack the ability and understanding to comprehend evolution.

So by using the ever so clever Christian logic, why do we still have dirt if God made man out of dirt?

  • Christians - when you are sick...?

Christians, when you are sick do you blame or fault god for your bad health?

If a lot of you thank god for your good health, would you not in turn blame him for you getting sick, or when a loved one dies of cancer?

A little while ago, someone asked who atheists thank for their good health, so I started to wonder who Christians blame for their bad health if they always thank god for their good health.

Please don't give me the whole spill about Satan makes you sick and God makes you better... that's completely ridiculous!

  • Christians - do you think this man is crazy???

Man Sees 'Mark of the Beast'; Cuts Off, Microwaves Hand

HAYDEN, Idaho — A man who believed he bore the "mark of the beast" used a circular saw to cut off one hand, then he cooked it in the microwave and called 911, authorities said.

The man, in his mid-20s, was calm when Kootenai County sheriff's deputies arrived Saturday in this northern Idaho town. He was in protective custody in the mental health unit of Kootenai Medical Center.

Is he CRAZY or was he doing what he had to do to protect the world from doom and destruction?

I have devised a test for you guys. Which of the following in the image linked below closely resembles HUMAN BEINGS? Evolutionist believe that man evolved from ape like ancestors... the bible tells us that God made us out of dirt. So in your honest opinion, which looks more like our ancestor?

  • Christians - Why did God tell Abraham to kill his son?

If God is ALL KNOWING, then why would he need to test Abraham's faith?

    Genesis 22:1-12

1 Some time later God tested Abraham. He said to him, "Abraham!"

    "Here I am," he replied.

2 Then God said, "Take your son, your only son, Isaac, whom you love, and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains I will tell you about."

3 Early the next morning Abraham got up and saddled his donkey. He took with him two of his servants and his son Isaac. When he had cut enough wood for the burnt offering, he set out for the place God had told him about. 4 On the third day Abraham looked up and saw the place in the distance. 5 He said to his servants, "Stay here with the donkey while I and the boy go over there. We will worship and then we will come back to you."

  • MUSLIMS - What's your opinion on Brigitte Gabriel?

"The difference, my friends, between Israel and the Arab world is the difference between civilization and barbarism. It's the difference between good and evil... this is what we're witnessing in the Arabic world, They have no SOUL !, they are dead set on killing and destruction. And in the name of something they call "Allah" which is very different from the God we believe.... because our God is the God of love."

  • Christians - the evolution of chimps!?

    http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20071203/ap_on_sc/chimp...

This is very interesting considering many Christians see no proof of evolution, yet somehow these Chimps have a better memory than college students. If they are lower than us, shouldn't their memory be inferior as well?

Why would god give a chimp the ability to memorize things?

If we leave our flesh on earth and our souls go to their predetermined eternal location... how will that mean old devil torture me with his hell fire? • Christians - how many cells does an embroy need to play host to a soul?

Does god give a soul at the moment of conception when the egg is fertilized? Is it possible something as vast and great as a human soul to exist in a single cell?

If that is the case, is it possible that we could transfer a human soul into that of an amoeba?

  • If god is perfect, why did he make man so flawed?

Wouldn't a perfect being strive to make his creations equally as perfect? Man seems to be extremely flawed in nature. Was this carelessness on god's behalf or just flat out laziness?

Surely he would have worked out all the kinks and bugs in the first 2 prototypes before sending man into mass production.

  • Christians!!! Please provide your evidence against evolution!?

Yesterday I asked a question about debunking evolution which many Christians continue to claim has scientifically been done... yet many of them REPORT my question to have it deleted? WHY? Is it offensive to you because you could not offer up valid proof against evolution?

  • How do you teach your children about Noah's Arc?

Do you make it a happy story or do you lay it all out in the open and tell your children that if they were alive in the time of Noah that they would be killed by god as he would kill all their friends, all the puppies, kitties and bunnies in the world save 2 by 2.

Seems a rather dark and twisted tale... almost something you would see in a horror movie!

  • When was the last REAL miracle?

I'm not talking about my grandmother's friend was in the hospital with cancer and we all sat around and prayed for her and god cured her type 'miracle'

I mean a real honest to god no logical or scientific explanation behind it type miracle that is for lack of a better word, miraculous in nature.

The bible is filled with these amazing stories of unnatural events... yet nothing like that happens now?.

  • Christians - Why are you all upset over the movie The Gold Compass?

"These books denigrate Christianity, thrash the Catholic Church and sell the virtues of atheism," said Bill Donohue, president and CEO of the Catholic League.

Atheists don't really get upset over Christians themed movies... so why all the controversy?
