The Manning vs. Brady debate.?

First of all, I'm tired of you guys saying Brady is better and now it's just getting annoying.

You can all sit there and say Brady has more SB's or whatever.

But less face facts, in the last 3 years The Patriots have lost twice and the Colts have lost twice, but Brady has one thing Manning doesn't have and that is a Super Bow loss and a bad attitude while on the field. Won has one more recently?

Since 05, the Colts have beaten the Patriots 3-1 including play offs.

Mannings overall stats are: 94. 7 rating, 306 Touchdowns, 153 Interceptions

Bradys overall stats are: 92.9 rating, 197 Touchdowns, 86 interceptions

Has it occured to anyone that it doesn't matter who the wide outs are on the Colts, Peyton has the ability to make any of them look great. I mean it wasn't but a couple years ago that Brandon Stokley had a 10 touchdown season. Marcus Pollard was a top rated tight end, then he got traded and you've never heard his name since then.

Update:

You can say Brady has never had his wides outs, but who has had the better defense? and who still has the better defense? The Patriots. As the saying goes "defense wins games".

Regardless both players are still very good but seriously, there is no comparision.

Also just throwing it out there, Belicheck is known to cheat alittle so Brady knows whats coming ;)

Update 2:

adorable1312991: The only Reason Tom has the record is because of his blow out games and going for it on 4th down, while Manning just sat out when his team was up 40-10

Update 3:

To the two Pats fans: Super Bowls don't compare Qb's stats do.

Super Bowls compare teams.

How long has it been since Brady won a bowl anyways?

Update 4:

Yes Manning Started 2 years before Brady but with the touchdowns comparisions it's like Manning started 3-4 years before Brady did

Update 5:

I laugh at all the Patriot fans that didn't read anything I wrote or can't back up anything they say besides Brady and his super bowls, especially since he just lost one.

I agree with you totally. Manning is and will always be the better Quarter back. He is a better Man on and off the field. Yes, He has better stats then Brady but he has more heart then Brady as well. While Peyton Manning has had a Hospital named after him for all of his donations Tom Brady doesn't even know where his own kid is. Brady throws a horrible pass and blames it on his receivers, Manning throws a bad pass and his takes the blame. Manning has taken his team mates and made them some one. Stokley moved to Denver and you don't hear much about him. He was on of my favorite players when he played for the Colts. Tom Brady makes his money at football and modeling and doesn't give a penny to charity. Indianapolis host a raffle where you could get a chance at a Super Bowl Ring and all the money went to Indiana Charities. That to me means a GREAT deal. I think that not only is Indianapolis Colts and Peyton Manning better then Tom Brady and the Patriots on the field but off the field as well. I think that the only reason that the Patriots moved in to the Super Bowl this year was the played all most all of the worst teams in the NFL. There only challenge was the Indianapolis Colts and the only reason why the defeated them was because of the injuries that the Colts had. So people might say that Tom Brady is better but think again he is a selfish person who thinks that he is god's gift to football. Well I am sorry buddy you have a long way to go before you can MATCH Manning.

Unless Manning wins another Super Bowl or 2, then 10 years from now everyone will remember Brady more and believe he was better than Manning. It will be similar to the Montana/Marino debate. Marino had great stats, but in the end, championships are all that matter and Brady's 3 rings and 5 appearances will be remembered more than Manning's 1 ring and 2 appearances.

this is like debating politics or religon, there will never be a winner. nothing you say is going to get Pats fan to say..... "ya know what, you are right, Manning is GOD". same the other way, nothing Pats fan can come up with will get me to say..... "damn, i wish Tom Brady was on my team"

if you just want to fight, it's a great debate. so here it goes.....

if you want to judge them on jewelry, like the media has instructed you to do, then Brady is better. if you peek at the stats, Manning hands down.

Brady was born into this league w/ a silver spoon. he's never had to QB a medicre team. he's had a few mediocre WRs but all he had to do was hand the ball off, dump a few passes, not make mistakes & let the D do the rest. enter Randy Moss, he looks like Manning.

Manning had 3-13 teams, Manning has better numbers than any QB at this point in their careers. he is the coach on the field......

just remember kids - winning a Super Bowl is a team thing. NEVER in the history of the NFL has 1 man taken his team to, then won a Super Bowl. i'll take your thumbs down, people. it gets me high. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Manning is way better than Tom Brady. Manning has never lost a superbowl. Brady has. Manning won won his Superbowl by 12 points. Brady won them all by 3. Vinatieri was the reason behind their success. Now with him in the Colts, the Colts have won a superbowl. The Patriots? Nope.

Ok the guy below me is either foreign or retarded. I guess he's both because he didn't understand a single thing I said.

Brady no doubt. I hear all this stuff about Brady having a negative attitude and such. Please explain that one to me because whenever I see him in the post game interviews when he is answering questions from the reporters all I see is him seeming very respectful and doesn't seem to have an ego at all. Bellichick on the other hand seems to not like the press at all. Anyways Brady all the way I hate the Colts and Manning.

I was born and raised in Indiana. I am a true Colts fan. I agree that manning is the better player.

However let me tell you why. In my mind stats don't mean a thing. Breaking records doesn't mean anything. In my mind what makes you the best player is how you really play the game.

Manning plays with integrity, a good attitude, and great support of his coaches and teamates. He sets a good example for the youth who watch him play the game.

Brady always seems to have a bad attitude, complains when he loses and has set a terrible example for todays youth on and off the field.

Peyton Manning is a great player and a great man. He gets two thumbs up from me!!!!

It was close, but I'm going with Brady.

"Manning is way better than Tom Brady. Manning has never lost a superbowl."

    He's only played in one.

    "Brady has."

And Brady's played in four. He's only lost one. That means he's won three.

"Manning won won his Superbowl by 12 points. Brady won them all by 3. Vinatieri was the reason behind their success."

Yeah, forget all the other players.

"Now with him in the Colts, the Colts have won a superbowl. The Patriots? Nope."

You just said that he's won three with the Patriots, dumbass.

Brady is better...Get over it...He has demonstrated that by 3 Super Bowls in less time it took Peyton to get 1...Peyton only 1 Super Bowl in 10 years...also, game winning drives, and playoff record...and Brady has done FAR more(See the 3 Super Bowls again) with only a couple solid receivers in 8 years...Peyton has had Harrison, Wayne, and Clark...all Pro Bowlers...Oh...and thanks for reminding us...Marcus Pollard too...

do you not agree that Manning cant handle pressure? or if you knock him off his rhythm he has a very hard time getting it back?

And this is the first year Brady had good WR's!

If there was 2 minutes left in the game and we were down id want Brady! you cant argu bout that!

they are both great QB's... end of story

Well think about Manning played in one sb. Brady played in 4. Brady has been in the league less time than manning. nd has accomplished more. No doubt in my mind Brady is better.
