If I have a blog, and I wanted to write about certain new technology products, like a new cellphone, or a new laptop or something -
And Brand xyz announces their latest product, can I just go to the official website and copy the images of the product and put them up on my own website?

yes you can as long as you do not alter/edit them in any way or say you created them or own the copyrights
