Is there a 17 regular season games coming in 2009 ?

Question

I read an artical before the 2007 season started that they were considering a 17th regular season game. 
The NFL is still working out the querks. They didn't know weather to take out a preseason game and start a week early or take out the "bye week" during the season.

Does anyone have any input ?

The 16-game schedule cycle is set up for the next several years, so it might be tough to do that for now. There is talk at some point of everyone playing one game overseas at a neutral site, and a 17th game could be added so that no one loses a home date. But that seems down the road.

like the perfect guy stated, early October. The NHL hasn't come out with their standard season schedule yet. even if the perfect 2 years there have been some video games in Europe, in late september/early october, and something start up interior the first week of October. i visit't wait. My team did not make the playoffs, so i'm wanting to work out them play back.

I am all for the playoff change scenario that rewards the team with the best record over a division winner..

But as far as adding another game, I am not all for this one.  16 games is perfect.  Why change it?  more revenue? yes sir...not a good enough reason.

No its not gonna happen this year at all, they are to busy sending games over seas, and trying to send buffalo to canada. It is true that they may cut preseason down  though
