where are all the volumn controls on a mv500 compac Presario...cna't seem to get the volumn up even tho the volumn is all the way up
any ideas?

On the Taskbar (bottom-right), double-click the Speaker Icon (you may have to click the left arrow to see the Icon), you will see a panel with controls to adjust or mute inputs or outputs.

Yeah, learn how to spell. Make shure your volume is all the way up on the speakers and on Windows Media Player For instance.
