Why are people so close minded when it comes to topics like guns and the like.?
It seems as though someone is totally for or against items such as guns, abortion, politics. I think most people would agree that the answer is somewhere between the two extremes. How can we get them to talk to, and listen to the other side with an open mind?

The problem is, as I see it, that "most people" are too busy living their own lives to talk about it. The only voices we hear are the extreme ones.
But if you find a way to open people's minds, can we start with religion? After that, it's a cake walk.
