Telling the darkness of Tint?
I was just wondering if anyone knew how to tell the darkness of window tint, because I just got my truck and it has tinted windows but I don't know if it is too much. Please help.

You can go to any tinting shop and they should have what is called a tint meter and they will be able to give you the reading within 20 seconds.

I'm not to sure how you will be able to tell. I know the police use a little tool that shines a beam through it to tell if it is legal or not. Either way I would get it checked out to avoid any ticket if you are pulled.

Depend on what State you are in, in GA they hold it against the inside of the window and see if they can read it. If they can it's a go, if not you get a ticket. It's a little different in northern States.

Go back to the tinters and ask them. The smart thing wouldve been to ask for them to be tinted legally dark.
