What is the toughest dog chew toy?
I have 2 dogs, a pittbull mix and a american bulldog mix. Just the other day we spent over 75 dollars on new toys for these guys. And today they are ALL demolished!!! We need something that is VERY durable. We've tried the kongs, tires, ropes,even a toy that was made from bulletproof plastic. And every single one of them the chew to pieces!!! I mean literally to pieces. Do you guys know of any toys that would last longer than 2 days. I'm tired of spending money on toys for them and then coming home and finding little bits and pieces of what used to be their toy. And then sometimes not being able to find the toy at all. But to be surprised a couple days later when its puked up on my carpet. Please help!!!!

That is a tough one.
Here is one toy that is advertised as indestructible. If your dog destroys it they replace it for free.. that might keep you going a while.. lol

Here is another similar that they advertise that can't be destroyed by grizzly bears and hippos.. seems like a big endorsement.
and one more website designed for the pitbull lover

Good luck.. my friend has the same issue and we all buy toys that we think we will last. There is one we found that lasted over a year.. a near miracle it was a solid rubber toy.. unfortunately can't remember the name. Bones are great filled with stuffing. Otherwise only let them have the toys for short times when you can play with them so they don't get too ruined in one sitting and then get bones and chews for the chewing. Sounds like fun!!

I would stop buying toys and go with edible treats like marrow bones (50 cents to a dollar a piece at the grocery store) and bullysticks and such, since it's a waste of money on toys they are destroying so quickly and also it's a health risk. If they ingest some of the plastic or bits, and it ends up creating a blockage - you'll have a hefty surgery bill.
Good luck

OMG !!! I have the same exact problem with my pitbulls. I have spent literally hundreds of dollars on toys at Petsmart and I have not found ONE toy that they can not destroy to pieces (even though they claim they are extremely durable). The only thing close is just the Kong tough rubber toys and they DON'T like those very much. They just lay in the backyard. They don't want them. I tried some tough nyla bones but the one i bought they managed to break off little white pieces of it and started gagging from it . GOOD question you asked !!!

I've had great luck with the nylabones. With three jack russells, you can imagine! Kong makes a red rubber ball that so far has been indestructible, as well as a red frisbee that lasted a couple of summers. They're expensive but worth it in the long run. Pizzle, or some are called bully stix last a long time, too and my girls love the taste. Good luck!

This is the toughest dog chew toy... http://www.amazon.com/KONG-Extreme-Dog-Large-Black...
It's hard to destroy this to little bits and pieces. It's very durable chew toy for dogs. Better than ropes and tires.

I have an American Pit Bull Terrier. The strongest Kong lasts her a few weeks. But the Nylabones last the longest. The Galileo bone made by Nylabone is Amazing! She loves it, and has had it for a few months now. I recently found a website suggesting Pit Bull dog toys, I will try to find it for you.

believe it or not but you can go to your local bowling alley and get old used bowling pins and they will be the best and the longest lasting things for your dogs to play with and chew on with out hurting them. And you can pick them up for a few bucks

nylabone company makes several strong bones. i got one for my dog cuz he was chewing up regular toys.. but this toy is so tuff that he often bleeds lol -_-;
i prefer just to give him his rope toys and supervise, and take away the strings he pulls apart.
but i suggest you buy eatable chewies.. stuff that is okay if they digest. like REAL bones, pig ears, bully sticks etc.
just be careful with rawhide, it's not very digestible.
