Will the Obama Cabinet look like the Detroit City Council?

You can count on it (wasn't the mayor just slammed for his affair with a staff member but denied it?). Only you can add Jesse Jackson, Louis Farrakhan, and Al Sharpton to the mix.

Obama's from Illinois, not from Detroit. To suggest that his cabinet will resemble the Detroit City Council, meaning of course mostly Black Americans, is stupid and bigoted. His campaign team is not mostly black, and never has been. And even if he does put a lot of Black Americans in his cabinet, that is not a bad thing.

He will chose the best people for each cabinet position, and if some of the best people for those jobs are Black, then that says something wonderful about how far America has come toward racial equality. At least, most of America. It sounds like you have a ways to go.

Probably not. He'll need experienced people, some new people of course, and a few favors to friends. He'll also have a cabinet, advisors, speechwriters, an entire staff of hundreds of people.

The democratic party and DNC will also play a role in his cabinet and staffing.

What I find interesting is why you're conceding that Obama will win the presidency. He's a LONG way from that.

Obama's remark grow to be in the route of the Detroit vehicle market no longer the city, besides the indisputable fact that it doesn't wonder absolutely everyone that the haters shop trashing and whining about each little thing Obama does or doesn't do.

Don't know about that. But did you know that Detroit Councilwomen Martha Reeves was a big Motown star (Martha & the Vandellas) back in the 60's ? She sang hits such as "Dancing In The Streets", "Heatwave", "Nowhere To Run" and "Jimmy Mack"

Hate to disappoint you. His Cabinet will look like the diverse group at his awesome rallies. He will select the best of the best to get the job done. Give him a fair shake.

Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Dennis Rodman, Timbaland, Gary Coleman and Ron Paul as the token White Man.

Some would argue that, while not that council specifically, liberal policies in general has stranded Detroit upon the sterile scape of economic hardship.

And yes, Obama is far left as they come.

And the US will look like Detroit...
