What controls the brain?

I know this question is a little too deep for Y!A. if it hurts your brain you don't have to answer. i wouldn't want any of you guys to get hurt.

So if the brain controls the body, then what controls the brain?

Update:

i meant it's too deep for P&S not Y!A

Update 2:

so what is your mind then? is it something tangible?

Update 3:

jenblossom- are you suggesting that women don't have brains?

Are you talking about MY brain. The one floating on top of the Alien body. Well the aliens do of course. They probed my brain long time ago and that is just the way it has been ever since.

Your upbringing has a lot of influence on your outlook on life. If you had a happy childhood, then most likely you will make the right decisions throughout your life. There's a lot of outside forces that shape the person you are today. Your beliefs, values, and thoughts all have an effect as to who you are today.

All the agreements you make with yourself day-to-day determine what and how you will think. Take for example, you start telling yourself that you won't take anything personal anymore. This will change your attitude toward people and you will start to react differently to situations that you've already experienced.

But, if you want to get technical with this, chemicals. I'm not going to sit here and ramble off a list of chemicals. It's your question, you do the research.

Its electric dude. Energy flows.Zzzzzippp from one place to another and down through the nerves. Little chips in the brain are programmed throughout life, and memory is almost limitless, ya just gotta have the right access code. Now when ya hit your head these little chips get knocked around if ya get hit hard enough you can lose all memory in storage or just partial.

The brain is a serious of nerves that are auto or consciously controlled, the medulla oblongata and brain stem control breathing rate and other life essential needs for example if you hold your breath which is controlled by the conscious then you pass out, when you pass out the medulla automatically starts the breathing process so you don't die. The brain is basically controlled by your consciousness and its own automated systems.
