Why are teenagers SO lazy?

I mean honestly... how many questions have been asked in here that would have taken less time for the lazy little bastard to go google it, lmao?

Are they really lazy or lost?

because they have been raised with little work ethic...it seems many parents let their kids get away with doing nothing..no chores or responsibility....mainly because the parents do not take the time to raise their children....they are there while they grow up, but instilling responsibility seems to have fallen off.

However----I wish I had access to this resource before I enlisted....would have given me a much clearer idea of wht to expect.....but I did put forth the effort to talk with friends that had gone in before me while they were home on leave.

My personal opinion on this matter is that they are just getting lazy because of one reason. >Technology< Technology is out there to help us, but it was never meant to be molded into everything in our lives. Having a one on one conversation with someone is something that is taken for granted thanks to this internet. Its a great resource, but should not be used for everything. I mean try learning things the old fashioned way, use experience and studies to do so not this tool for everything! Well that was my two cents.

When I joined in the 70's the instructors thought we were lazy and TV generation then it seems each generation after that is just getting progressively worse then you see each time when the chips are down the lads step up and do the job, Falklands, first Gulf War, Second Gulf, Afghanistan......... it just needs a bit of growing up and they turn out OK well most of them.........

These are just some of the major reasons why we have so many kids that are lost:

    Dr Spock's wonderful book,

    Child Protective services,

schools and medical interfering in proper child rearing,

    TV

    Video games

    Social/ peer pressure

and number one reason that kids are out of control/ lost: Not allowed to belt them in public...

Any posting this in the military section and calling teenagers lazy bastard accomplishes what?

i think its not because their lazy i think a lot of it has to do with the fact that they would rather have an answer from a person/people who have been there and done that rather than what a website says because as everybody knows things change from what paper says and what really happens.. a lot of them probably did google and and want to compare answers. now about the kids asking the questions about their homework and answers like that.. i have no pitty for them i think everybody should give them wrong answers lol
