Does an infinite universe prove the existence of an almighty God?

Here is a comment from someone (who shall remain nameless) on this site.

"The universe is infinite; in an infinite set, all possibilities exist. God is a possibility. Ergo, I believe in God."

To me, this seems to be nonsense for a whole host of reasons, but I'm not going to go into those. I'm only asking if it really proves what it explicitly claims.

In an infinite set, all possibilities which are finite in size exist. But God is infinite in size, power, and knowledge.

Even in an infinite universe, is there really room for an almighty, omnipresent, omniscient God?

I'm with you on that argument; it does not prove what it intends to prove.

Just because all possibilities exist, does not mean that they will come into realization. When you think about it, not all possibilities can ever be possible, without voiding the other possibilities.

To each their own beliefs....if you believe that there is always room for God and Jello, then you've found what works for you.

There is certainly enough room for your avatar to go zipping around the universe......

    :)

    Hope this helps! :)

By that argument ALL gods must exist.

So, which one do you want to worship?

By the same argument, you can claim that all possible situations must exist, so this proves that god exists AND god does not exist - at the same time.

All it really means is that people can not wrap their brains around the concepts of the infinite and make false assumptions like this.

its takes a bounce of religion to have confidence god began the universe even inspite of the shown fact that technology doesnt be attentive to what did start up it using fact it isnt logical. it doesnt persist with the guidelines of physics, thermodynamics, and all different medical rules. and pluto develop into purely introduced as no longer a planet using fact the definition of a planet had to be redone. earlier the definition develop into quite lots something around in shape that orbited the solar. that's a quite wide term yet for the time it develop into good adequate using fact there have been purely 9 planets. now we are looking further and extra around our image voltaic device that we had to redefine the be conscious "planet". to that i say, so long pluto you will consistently be neglected.

1- The universe certainly isn't infinite

2- That wouldn't provide the smallest bit of evidence that there was a god if it were.

The real GOD is all the universes, the real GOD is our entity,we are his DNA sharing this entity(human body), there is nothing more realistic than this, why can't people understand this.
