Question regarding burning coal and fuel required?

a boiler rated at 500MWth (Mega-watts-thermal) has an output of 500 million joules per second. If the boiler is burning fuel with a calorific value of 350 000 kilo joules per kg, how much fuel is required per hour?

    5143Kg per hour/Combustion efficiency .

    fuel needed per second =500/350 kg. so multiplying by number of seconds in one hour we get 3600 x 500/350 kg/hr..

    =5143 tonnes.
