Violation Notice?
Someone asked a question about words that begin with the letter "Z" as they were doing a puzzle. I answered: I'm sure that a dictionary would give you more words than you would ever need.
Be honest with me. Do you think I deserved this violation?
Wow - a lot of responses in a short time. Thanks to all

I just got a violation too and didn't think I deserved it. Technically yes because you didn't answer the stupid question. If you had said I don't know 0r zebra and then said look in a dictionary they couldn't get you. You have to answer the question. It made me really mad too... I do feel your pain!!! Stupid rules! Personally, I do not think you deserved it - there are many times I want to tell people to just look the answer up - how hard is it to Google it or look in a dictionary... I hear exactly what you mean - but they get you with the stupid guidelines... hopefully I won't get a violation for ranting!!!! Sorry you got violated - don't feel bad - I did too! :)

Once I received a violation and I had NO idea what for! Since then Ive been veryyyyyyy veryyyyyyy careful about how I answer a question! I hope noone things Im a prude for using the words butt, and gee golly wizz- LOL Cuz I never use those words! I love yahoo answers but Ive seen ALOT of wild answers and even worse questions and they dont seem to get violations so I guess it just deoends on someone reporting you. No I dont think u deserved it- freedom of speech and all. Ive never reported anyone- if I dont like a question I just move on to the next one- who am I to judge anyone????? Good luck!

Yahoo is moronic.
You deserve that violation notice as much as half the people here deserve the ones they get, which is "not at all". Someone was asking about a celebrity once and mentioned that they never posed for any nude pictures like some other celebrities. I mentioned that wasn't true and told them where they could find evidence of this. They reported me for adult content, but I wasn't doing anything more than they did. The question was already of an adult nature, so what gives?

I woke up to 2 violations today. So much for my 4 best answers. -20 points.

"Deserved?" - NO
"Technically?" - YES.
Whoever reported you likely did so as "not an answer."
Folks who really hate getting violations need to STUDY the stupid @zz guidelines.
I take MY hits from time to time WITH the knowledge my answer (or question) IS violable, but I'm at least AWARE that this may happen if the wrong person sees it.

No, i do not at all! contest this violation notice as it is false, your answer is perfectly valid. I got a violation the other day for answering "NO" to a question! what a load of bull..

No why would it? I mean all you are saying is that a dictionary would help her. I don't think you should have gotten a violation and im sorry thatyou did.

» It doesn`t matter. Violations are no big deal. I`ve received like 30 and they`re like e-mails from friends.
