Being truthful should be our ultimate goal. So truth is precious, and if you use your time to be truthful, the possibilities are endless.

Yes, you have lots of TIME with the wrong person and yet, have a short amount of TIME with right person with honesty and it's most precious. I say this as a divorced person. I found my soulmate later in life, after I married the wrong person. Once I left the wrong person, and I started a journey with the right person, the truth has been most precious. Sometimes it's not what I want to hear, and doesn't make me happy, but in the end, it's what I needed and benefitted most from it. The truth and trust are closely tied. Love without either is not complete and therefore, not love.

Both time and truth are very precious. Which one is more important depends on the circumstances.
Let's say that you are diagnosed with cancer, and the doctor says that most likely you have from 6-8 months to live. In that case, time would be more important than truth, for most people. You want to savor and make the most of each precious moment that you have left (to the best of your ability). Truth is not so important then. In fact, some people actually benefit by denial of the "truth." People are happier if they do not become depressed by thoughts of dying, and they can enjoy the time they have left if they believe that they may have longer to live than the doctor's estimate--and they may be right. They will get their affairs in order, but they choose to focus on living in the now--the precious time that they have--and not on dying.
On the other hand, if you are miserable and bogged down by a destructive and utterly hopeless relationship, the truth is more important, i.e. that this relationship is destroying your life, and it is time to move on. Then it becomes critical to accept the truth, rather than to continue to live in misery due to denial of the truth.

You always have insightful and catching questions!
Truth is the most precious element in a person. I understand, we probably will not attain the ultimate Truth in a lifetime, karma still gives us time. Time, then, is secondary, for at all time, Truth is The most precious value. Far more important than time.
Thanks.

Well if we don't take the time to realize the truth then both will be lost. So Time is precious because it is meant for realizing the Absolute truth. This is the ancient Vedic understanding. Don't delay we never know when our time is up on this earth and if we don't' realize the highest truth another birth we will get and we don't know the difficulties that that situation may carry.

Sometimes when you are told of something you were wondering about but, did not know if it was true or not, it would be better not to find out if it is true, because the one who will get hurt in the long run would be me.
So, I do not think that truth is more precious than time.

The Truth is precious and important.. but the type of truth changes all the time, at one time it was true that the sun revolved around the Earth, that truth changed. At one time the truth was that the earth was flat, that truth changed, right now the truth is that there is life only on Earth, that will change...
And the biggest truth is "I Love You" sometimes that changes.
So yeah... truth is important... but time wasted is time you will never get back.

Their both fleeting ethereal things you can't define either of them easily. Both have their own value i would say that time is more valuable because we have less of it . Time on this earth is finite. The 'truth' at least your own personal truth is eternal but ever changing. No-one ever really knows the truth, no-one can agree on what it really is.
maybe its a sign to stop worrying?love will come in its own sweet time, maybe you should also look at the truth of your career is it really for you?

Time is such a nebulous commodity. The past cannot be revisited and is gone in a nano second and the future is so very serendipitous. All we can know of time is the present moment and that is extremely fleeting. The truth is precious. I do not know who said it but "Knowledge is power." (Knowledge is truth) William Shakespeare said, "But above all to thine own self be true." Be careful, It is easy to believe your own bullshit.

Truth is a flux of distinctions,
a measure of understanding,
= time within thought )
our senses outside the physical realm do
not need to be objective or subjective or
even be an observer,
existing not as purpose with
truth,
but function with a measure of understanding ~
So,
truth is merely an idea of perception,
a measure to discern purpose in ones time,
both are precious for existence ~
