Jesus,Perseus,Buddha,Attis,Huitzilopchtli,Gengis Khan,Krishna,Horus,Mercury,& Romulus= what do they share?

English Prof. gave as open-ended question. I already came up with 23 answers. Wanted to see what Internet users would come up with & if any of your answers different from mine. On an idea that if this was 'stating the obvious' what comes to mind with other people. For me, question was too broad. Would like to show Professor what people out in computer land can come up with(I am an adult student--only 1 in class). Guard Dog

Update:

I think that many people who are answering the question are forgetting (2)characters of violence...Ghengis Khan & Huitzilopchtli. There must be a detail I am missing. The clue is probably with Ghengis Khan being included with this list of Gods/God like characters.

They are all 'dying gods' in different religions and mythologies. The main theme is that they personally are the sacrifice that accomplishes the salvation of the people. Yes, I know that most christians believe that the story of Jesus is the only true one, but the dying and then resurrected god mythos has been around for much longer.

An apartment. It's sort of a commune. Across the hall live Athena, Mary Magdalen, Ishtar, Amaterasu, Durga, Papa and Crane Girl.

And one floor up Väinamöinen and Baldur share a studio, but the less said the better, if you know what I mean...

I'm pretty sure various legends had all of these figures born of a virgin. I know at least three were associated with birth around the solstice in December. They resurrected from death and/or ascended to a heavenly realm. Performance of miraculous events and healing in a few. Baptism. There is quite a bit of overlap in the different world mythologies.

They all share the one true God, who is God of Abraham ( when Jesus was here on earth He was fully God and fully human ).

God's Word is the same for all of them.

I would not lump them all together, as there is only one God and that is "The Lord Jesus Christ".

Lumping them all together is like making them appear equal and they are not, in any way whatsoever.

One of them is God. A couple of others are mere men. The rest are fictitious.

Pretty much the same birth, life, death, resurrection, salvation story.

I find your question interesting and would like to hear your answers. I really don't know what, if anything they share. I do know what no one shares with Jesus, though. If you would care to e-mail me your list, I would enjoy reading it. Thanks.
