help! My dog wont stop drooling after a fall?
My friend was carring my 11 month old puppy and she jumped off his arms, after she was on the floor she started screaming (of course) so you know i piked her up and conforted her she seemed to be ok she walked and play like normal, a couple of hours later she started drooling a lot and just wont stop, she dont seem to mind and her behavior is the same, but im still concern is her behavior result of the fall? is something broken inside? my friend says is a result of the trauma and that it will stop is this true?
I just want to make clear that as I was posting this question my partner and my friend (the one that droped the dog) are on their way to the vet, I just taught it would be a good idea to ask since everybody talks about yahoo answers, i hate the reference of dogs as kids, I love my dogs and yes they are my kids, and no i do not need to be judged on my acctions I'm a grown man and I use common sence, I just taught I could share how freaked out I am about this and if anytbody had a situation like that at least you could confort me, thank you for the answers to all of you who tried to confort me and reassure my idea to take mi dog to the ver, to the ones who want to make me feel bad by writting the word "Kids" think about what you writte

Oh my gosh. Please take your dog to the vet right now. There could be something seriously wrong with her, possibly with her mouth or throat.

You should ask yourself a question. If this was your "child" and you dropped him/her on the floor and they started acting differently, would you sit around, or would you go to the doctors? I cannot actually answer your question with what you want to her however, if it was my dog, I would already be at the vet. Better safe than sorry. Dogs cannot tell you when it hurts. If you dog did not drool at all until after the fall, I would treat it as something serious.

Hopefully you won't have time to read this response because you're already on the phone with your vet. :)
Yes, this sounds like a definite, "Call the vet right away and ask about an appointment" situation (I worked at a vet clinic for 5 years, myself).
Even if it's just temporary, your vet may be able to prescribe something to speed healing.
Best of luck to you and your pup!

I'm of the opinion that you are always better to be safe than sorry.
If this were a baby and it was drooling after you dropped it, would you be posting questions here? I think you'd consult a doctor. Please do the same for your puppy.
Chances are he's fine but why not make sure? If something is wrong, the vet is the only person who can help.
Please call them for advice ok?

Some kind of muscle is not working that would stop her from drooling, she could even had a broken jaw.
Your going to need your vet to do a xray.
Thats you sorted,

if you're sure she's drooling more than normal, she probably has a concussion. DO NOT let kids pick up a dog if they can't hold onto it. Take your pup to the vet to have her checked out, please.

OMG!!! Your joking right? There could be a very serious problem with your pup and you are on the computer...sorry dude or dudette but you need to get off the damn computer now and take that little girl to the vet!!!!!

How did she land. If she hit hard enough she could have damaged her lungs. A friends pup fell and was fine for a few hours and then suddenly got worse. It was terrible. Please take her to a vet to be sure.

At 11 months old.....the fall may have knocked loose teeth looser, if you will.
I would look in her mouth and see if there were any obvious trauma, broken teeth or bleeding gums........but it does not sound serious enough to push yourself over the line....as long as their eating, drinking and playing....their fine. :- )

it could be an injury somewhere, go to a vet
