Does alcohol have the same effect as marijuana?

NO NOT AT ALL,there is a huge differance.Alcohol messes you up 100 times more than marijuana.Alcohol is possible to O.D on.Marijuana is impossible to O.D on.Alcohol destroys ability to drive, studies have shown that marijuana has no effect on driving ability.Basically Marijuana is much much safer.

Both have basically the same effect even though there are some that say different. In studies done on both, they both produced the same effects but the marijuana lasted longer, depending on the strength of it. As for why people like alcohol, it is because of the effect of it on the brain even though the buzz they get is destroying the brain cells that can never be renewed. To get the high they want, the alcohol is destroying the brain cells. It mostly begins with the time people come of age to be able to buy it but the more you learn of it, if you are smart at all, the less you will want it. Goes the same for the marijuana. Should it be legalized? Not if anyone really understood the dangers of it all. It is like asking if murder should be legalized.

huge differences. Weed has a mellow effect, while alcohol makes you uncoordinated and impairs decision making. Just my own personal thoughts about the two, but I'd much rather have someone driving high than driving drunk. Also, a hangover from drinking sucks, while there is very little after-effect from pot.

alcohol- screws with your equilibrium making your hand eye cordination dramatically slower.

Herb- people say it makes hand eye slower but i smoke not at all affected. if anything makes it better.

people like alcohol because it is much more leinient in socity to do. a shame considering all the deaths attributted to alcohol. the government makes a lot of money off both. probably more with weed. it was americas No. 1 cash crop i think in 06'

There is a big difference between alcohol and marijuana.

.Alcohol can kill you if you overdose on it AND if you detox from it. i have never heard of a weed OD.

DO NOT SMOKE WEED. It WILL ruin your life. Alcohol is a depressant. Weed is a stimulant. But when you come down off of weed you will feel like crap, lazy, tired, mentally screwed. And it IS addictive. My advice is if you don't know what it feels like you will never be tempted. It will drain you brain cells, your motivation, and your bank account. Also you will get to hang out with all kinds of creeps and weirdo drug dealers. Weed ruined my life.

weed makes you relaxed..alcohol makes you more emotional..either happier or angrier,sader,more affectionate..it increases your emotions to an extreme depending on how much you drink

weed does the same thing but instead of your liver it's bad for your lungs
