why use the KJV Bible if you are going to bach it?
for the most part this is towards mormons. why because they use the KJV however they claim it is not correct in many parts. so why not make your own Bible then that wont contradict what you believe. and that is true and correct as far as mormons are concerened. why cont. with the KJV. i mean you guys already made a seperate book of mormon. i mean why use the Bible that clearly says there is one God and that God knows of no others and that there is none before him and there will be none after him. but then you guys preach that you will become a god one day. just curious. i asked a couple mormon people and they have no answere. catholics did it.
then you would not have to use other books to prove you are right. that is my biggest thing with mormons. they have to use these other books that are not the Bible to prove stuff. because they cant prove it with the Bible they use. which so happens to be what i use.
i still would not except it. but i dont except what you guys have now. i would have more respect though. because now you are using something you believe to be true not sit and bash the Bible but yet you cont. to use it. that is a hyprocrite
so the main stream christianity believes we will not become a god one day but you dont use that.
funny saying i am judging. when you clearly judged claiming i know nothing about what you believe. i do know more about what you believe then you probally know. and i can care less about the book or mormon. i am sure more people wrote things. does it mean it is supposed to be in the Bible. NO. we can write stuff today. we call them books. if my pastor hears from God and had a miracle happen to him. and he writes a book about it. great. just dont make it above the Bible. my question is based off what you said. you think the Bible is correct as long as it is translated correctly. you use the KJV however mormons teach it is not translated correctly so then why use it. why not make a Bible that you believe is translated 100% correctly then. why is it j smith supposedly started one but never was able to finish. i am soooo sure one of your other so called people after him would have been given guidance to cont it. yeah i know a lot about you all.
and i still did not get an answere. or at least a good one. funny how mormons know i am right and that you cant come up with a good answere but that why do i care or this and that. the only reason why i know of is that the common christians use the KJV. some use the NIV but most the KJV therefore mormons use it. what a bad reason for that.
and a question i have asked as well was show me in the KJV were it says i will become a god and rule my own world. or that i can become a god of my own world. mormons believe this but they cant show it thru scripture. except what i know and that is it says we have become children of God.
mormons also believe Jesus and satan are brothers. show me were it says that at. the last mormon i talked to has been for 32 years and he could not show me. he wanted to go to his other books. which the Bible tells me to stay away from.
and this is one questiong i dont know the answere to so i asked it. what is wrong with asking about others beliefs. if you had a question for me which some of you mormons do i try to answere as best i can. if i dont know i say that. that is why the mormons i do know have a lot of respect for me. also cause i get back at them. i dont know everything specially up front. when i dont i search and get back to them. also that i do know a lot about the mormon belief.
and by the way my mom is mormon and another big thing mormons teach is that if you live in one place and move that they teach the same thing there. my mom goes to a regular mormon church not one of those whatever kinds that still teach you can have many wives. and this church teaches things out of the Bible and a little bit with the book of mormon. but they dont teach they can become a god or that the Bible is correct as long as it is translated correctly.
but yet mormons hold to the claim that you go to one church and then another it is the same thing. and that other churches dont do that. even though majority of church denominations do hold to what they believe. the differance comes from souther baptist compared to baptist up here in Or and Wa. or that one pastor might get all in to preaching while another might be laid back. but wait that happens in mormon churches too. funny how you can claim that if i attend a mormon church were i live and then go out of state that they teach the same stuff when the people in the church are the ones who give there message so it would be based on how that person thinks.

J smith said he received, DIRECTLY FROM their so-called god, The Bible that all mormons were to use. ALL of the leadership of his cult confirmed that it was THE BIBLE... they taught that Christians were the enemy and that The Bible of the Christians was false...( in the 1960s and early 70s I was recruted by mormons who told me exactly that).... all of the leadership that was with J Smith said that mormons had the true bible... if J Smith and ALL of his followers were right... WHERE IS THAT BIBLE DIRECTLY FROM their so-called god... and why do the mormons not use it exclusivly... why do they now claim to be christian when their founder said the christians were the enemy and the christian bible false... and why do they now claim to use The Bible the J Smith said was false... if he was in error(lying) about getting the bible DIRECTLY from their so-called god... and the mormons do not use it and have changed their minds concerning so many other things... how can any teaching that comes from J Smith or any of the founding fathers of the mormons be trusted ... how can their so-called god be trusted... If J Smith and his leadership lied aabout the bible and it being directly rom their so-called god... because if it was from their so-called god then it had to be absolutely true... then ALL that came from J smith and his followers in the founding of the mormons IS FALSE...

You clearly do not understand what the LDS religion is or what it teaches. We use the KJV of the Bible. We believe it to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly. The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. You know those other sheep Jesus said he had to go and teach? Did you think that maybe they might keep a record of that teaching also? Lastly if you don't want anything to do with the LDS religion then why do you care what book we use? Why do you believe that you can sit in judgement of something you do not understand? If you really want to know what we believe visit www.mormon.com or www.lds.org search for the Articles of Faith to give you quick overview!

The KJV is extra sincere than the NIV. But the NIV will result in extra knowledge than the KJV, and knowledge is what we are getting at. I use an NIV, NAS, NKJV, KJV, and NRSV with an exhaustive NIV and an exhaustive KJV concordance in an try to get on the Truth.

As it is the most-commonly used Bible by American Christians, and commonly cited at online sources, it is convenient to use the KJV.
I don't discuss the Book of Mormon, as I'm extremely unfamiliar with it.

Actually Joseph Smith did write his own version of the Bible but it did not fly.
