Any ideas for a rugged, waterproof camera??
I do a lot of snowboarding in the winter and hiking, kayaking, camping, etc in the summer. I have a digital camera now, but it's too delicate for me to take on the mountain or pull out when we're on the water and I'm looking for something that's more up to the challenge.
I saw the Minox DC6033 WP and while I think it's great...it's a little out of my price range (it's $300) for a camera that will be used only during my outings.
I'd prefer something not more than $200 if that's possible.
Thanks for the advice!

Check the Olympus Stylus SW series of cameras. They are shock-proof to a 5' drop and water-proof. There might be a model closer to your price range.

they make waterproof housing's for most every digital and film camera body. look for them on the web. but the housing alone might cost 200 dollars. weatherproofing/waterproofing a camera is not cheap.
