instant messenger for linux?
i have PCLinuxOS, and i want an instant messenger that supports AIM. i tried Kopete and Pidgin, but neither of them have the "(name) is typing..." notification. i need one that does have this notification. which messenger has this feature?

Are you sure? When I use Pidgin with my Yahoo account it notifies me when the other person is typing. It doesn't notify me with text, but it shows a "typing" icon in the lower left corner of the window. Unless you absolutely need the text notification, that might be what you are looking for.

Pidgin does that for my yahoo account too. But AIM is not as friendly to "outsiders". It never has been.
