How will the yankees do this year?

They have pretty much the same roster as last year. I think they will and should at least start off better than they did last year, maybe even win it all this year.

Yankees will have the best year they have had in a while. The roster resembles what they had in the second half of last season when they posted the best record in baseball. I've been studying Girardi, analyzing what he did with the Marlins 2 years ago, and what he has done so far with the Yankees. I was initially worried about the change in management, but, now, I think the Yankees made a great choice. He is whipping the team into shape, and will have them ready to go from opening day. Mark my words, Girardi is the man who will lead the Yankees into their next dynasty. I am certainly looking forward to opening day.

I think they will do really well. Joe G. is hitting them hard with alot of drills this spring and for the most part everyone looks like they are in excellent shape except for Igawa. Last year a lot of players came to camp out of shape and the hamstring injuries plagued them. So hopefully they will be ready to go starting 3/31 instead of using the 1st 2 months of the season as ST. Mix that with the youth movement and the new found chemistry, I think this is going to be a great year.

I think the Yankees will contend. They always do. They could make it to the playoffs but I think if they do make it to the playoffs it will be in the wildcard. And even then they have alot of teams to compete with. Face it Yankees fans they dont dominate baseball anymore. They have not for awhile now.

There's no question that they have some of the best players in the game. But its been proven to them more then enough times that you dont have to have the best to be the best.

Im a Red Sox fan so of course I hope the Yankees do horrible :)

i hope you're right. they didn't do much to improve their team, except maybe get rid of Clemens tired @$$. Sad to say but the Sox are still the Sox and Detroit and Angels made huge additions and are SCARY. Yanks will make the playoffs though. Let's hope they go all the way. I like what A-Rod said yesterday. Something along the lines of, "We're not the team to beat.... there's a lot less pressure on us. We can just go out there and play some great baseball"

    GO YANKS!

With all of the talk of Jeter being the worst SS in the league. With the distractions of the Pettite admission of HGH use. With the specter of Clemens hanging over the Yanks. With the rookie brigade set to take over the pitching duties, I love the Bombers chances. No one is going to give us a chance and I like it that way. We will surprise many a team this year. I have a feeling we'll win it all this year. Theres plenty to prove.

2nd in the east, but missing the playoffs. Detroit will beat them out for the wild card.

While they have the same roster, the pitching is degraded with the age of Mussina and 2 rookies in the lineup.

They could win it all, but it just depends how the injury bug works....

According to some egg-heads at Penn they have the worst SS in the league in Derek Jeter......that has to be one of the lamest stories I've read regarding baseball in awhile. Total nonsense.

I Hope The Don't Make the playoffs so that The Blue Jays can get in

I hope the win it all but in the playoffs we need an Ace (number 1 starter) in the pitching rotation.

The only reason they will do good again is because of A-Rod, but once they get to the playoffs again, he is gonna choke and since he is the whole team they r gonna loose again. but hes still a great player.
