Running is great. Obviously if there is weight to lose you got to eat healthy as well but running builds lean muscle mass and also helps you burn excess calories.

Also, squats are perfect for toning legs. I went from so-so toned legs to very very toned legs in about 2-3 months of doing squats 2-3 times a week. It really works, even though they are not that much fun to do!

There is an exercise program called Getting Fit with Gilad and it works your legs. He comes on the Discovery Health Channel and or Fit tv channel. I say this because I moved to one city that didnt have Fit tv but had Discovery Health and he was on it but when I was in the first city with

Fit tv he would come on so you have to check in your city to make sure...

I also know squats work. and you can also try doing squats while lifting one leg up on the side and then repeating on the other side 2 counts of 8 or 3 counts and then another type of squat is to do an squat and then act like u are kicking someone and do that for each leg

    GOOD LUCK

JUMPING ROPE! It burns 23 calories per minute (when you're legs are together, and jumping at a fast pase.) ALSO: jumping rope is lighter on your knees than jogging or running, and works your entire body!

jogging at about 5mph makes you burn 6 cals per minute

riding a bike at 10mph makes you burn 7 calories per minute

walking at 4mph makes you burn 2-3 calories a minute

If you are going to do squats, make sure that you onnly go about 30 degrees down and NOT 90 degrees like most instructors say! I went to my doctor two days ago asking about weight loss, and he said, most growing teen girls get pain in the knees because pressure is being pushed to the wrong part of your knees bcuz your hips are growing out wider.

Okay well running tones legs the best. It will ad muscle, but it can also turn your legs into long and lean. For the second option obviously you have to run, but to make the muscle long and not buldgy you stretch very well before and after you run.

Cycling, running, rowing, cross trainer, step aerobics, lunges, squats are all good for toning the thighs. They will get your heart rate up and so burn fat but from all over not just your thighs!

leg presses, biking, running, soccer, and especially fencing

ive been fencing for a long tiem and after only 2 weeks of fencing i noticed asignificant change in my thighs and butt and calves

best part is, unlike running biking and running fencing tones them but you dont get huge bulking muscles, plus you hide you legs while excersizing them and get a huge rush from it, PLUS anyone can do it!
