Is it normal to feel sleepy after each meal?
Not so sure about others, but sometimes i feel sleepy after meal.

It is normal to get sleepy after you eat and if you notice, you may also become chilled. This is due to the blood moving to your digestive system to digest what you have just eaten. If you get up and move around after eating, the sleepiness and chill will be less and maybe even non existent. There are also chemicals in certain foods, esp. poultry that tend to make people sleepy as well. Just don't go straight to the couch after you eat, and you should do better!

Sure is, and it is also a function of what you eat. Heavy on protien always makes me sleepy. Hikers know that they should aviod a lot of protien for their lunch meal because it takes water out of their system for the digestion process and they wind up with a slow afternoon. Yup, you are normal.

Its hard to say without other symptoms though it is a common symptom of Diabetes to feel tired after eating, especially after eating certain foods. Maybe try looking it up with some other symptoms you feel you may have, think hard about other little things you notice. I recommend writing them down before you look it up otherwise you may become concerned with symptoms you may not have but aren't sure of. Maybe try keeping a diary of what you eat and when you feel tired and if it continues you will have something to take to your doctor or endocrinologist.

Not sure if it is normal but i always to do.especially after a big meal loaded with carbs!

i get sleepy after drinkin a shake or soda for some reason...it happens all the time.
