I love those books but I've never really dwelt on why the entrance to the mines of moria might be special?!?

umm i love lord of the rings..im in the process of buying the books..ive read FOTR...but the question is kinda confusing..maybe its cuz i only read the first book but idk...i think im confused about the cave part...idk if u wanna know about the whole area or just the small part that had the balrog...lol sry
