Why do the Serbs protest the independence of Kosavo?
Is it religious, political or both? I seemed to have missed the boat on this one.

Probably because they don't wish to see their country split apart.
Can you picture the reaction of our government if a few of our states decided to split, yep, another civil war, and yet we seem to back the others when they do it. Double standard again.

Its a long time dispute. All the Serbians I know are very upset about losing the heart of their country. It is partially religious and partially political.

because it is part of Serbia, or was, don't worry the western States will become independent when no one speaks English anymore, Lets see how the USA reacts to their independence
