What do you think is the thin line between pure genius and being crazy?

In many cases the line does not exist. Many of the geniuses throughout history were wonderful in specific areas, but needed someone in their lives to make sure they ate, showered, and occasionally slept.

Pure genius is to give in to the insanity because sanity is "norm think" and you cannot be a genius and think normal.

Not all crazy people are geniuses, but almost all geniuses are crazy.

Is there a line? I don't think there is.

But there is a line between functioning and not. If you can function as a person then it would fall under genius. If you can not then you would fall under crazy.

Although a lot of people think so, I do not believe that genius and insanity have much in common. There are many insane people who are not geniuses. There are many geniuses who are far from insane. Occasionally, of course you will find people who are insane or nearly insane and are also geniuses, but there is no "fine line" -- it is just a sad coincidence.

Genius benefits society. Madness is detrimental to society. It's mereley differences of perception.

a genius can at least in theory be understood by other people.
