It is most efficient to exercise before your largest span of wakefulness. Exercise fuels the metabolism and allows for continued fat burning long after the exercise is over. If you are awake and taking meals that food will be used efficiently. It also serves to rev the system, and may cause sleep disturbance if you exercise before your regular sleep cycle. Everyone has a different circadian rhythm but for most exercising is best in the morning to fire them up and fuel them through the day.
Exercise at a non-optimal time, however, is far better than no exercise at all !

As far as I am aware, it IS ok to exercise at that time, but remember it is vitally important to try and sleep as well. You work very long hours and your body needs to recover, so I would suggest trying to find ways of helping you sleep like taking a relaxing bath, or book.
If you do find that running helps, then all i can say on the matter is to keep hydrated by drinking plenty of water, and dont exercise after a huge meal!

Unless you are called Richard Neville and live in an apocalytic future with plague victims, I would say it was safe.
Bet you get buzzed by the Police, and meet loads of seedy characters, though

its fine, as long as you do exercise sometime. the night is a good time too because where as exercising in the morning boosts yourmetabolisn, exercising at night increase your metabolism for the time when is usually at its slowest, so its a win win.

NO! Stop immediately. I heard of a guy who worked out before i slept. In his sleep he kept working out, slept walked out his house and got ran over by a milk truck.

I dunno but i do that all the time. I'm really hyper at night so i usually jog in the middle of the night and people think i'm crazy. but i don't really care about what other people say as long as i'm happy in what i'm doing. i think it's ok because i sleep a lot in the evening. so i get enough sleep.

Yes you can do exercise at night, after all most of us do, may be it in the bed

its fine to exercise at night, your body can't tell time, but i would be careful running at night. never know what kind of weirdos are lurking around. also wear bright clothes to avoid being run over =D.

I don't see what difference it should make. Its like the myth that eating food late at night makes you gain weight. Its how many calories you eat not when you eat them, so presumably its how much exercise you do not when you do it.
