No. of girls = 7.

No. of kittens = 7 x No. of cats = 7 x 7 x 7 x 7

well, seven girls have 14 legs...
seven big cats in one backpack times seven backpacks times four legs=196
seven little cats for each big cat for seven big cats in seven backpacks=1372
so the answer is....1582!

no. of girls legs = 2x7 = 14
no. of cat legs= 7x7x4 = 196
no. of little cats= 7x7x7x4 = 1372
total no. of legs=1482
