Boy that's quite a generalization, and an incorrect one at that. You should've asked "Why do SOME...." and you'd have been on the mark.

I know plenty of women with profiles on dating sites who meet guys, who've been in relationships with guys they met through the site, and even got married.

Some women just like the attention but don't intend to ever meet anyone in person...and some (many really) won't agree to meet every guy who contacts them. Perhaps the women you've attempted to meet simply weren't interested and so figured there was no need to waste their time or yours.

I actually meet a very small % of the total people that contact me online and request to meet (or even just get to know one another better online). If there's nothing there from the get-go that catches my attention, it doesn't make sense to lead anyone on.

Maybe (not all women) find a guy's profile with the attention of never meeting that person. It validates them as a women that they're desirable. Wow look this cute guy is Emailing me back.) I'm great...Sexy and very insecure. Very F>N shallow. It's an Ego boost.

I thought all this Junior High stuff was over I was wrong I'm 34 still extremely puzzled by women sometimes.

For myself I have noticed most free sites got liars on...

Most paid dating sites have more serious people (both men and women!) who really seek love / marriage.

It really depends on what site u tried I think.

I have tried many myself before... but on some I didn't meet anyone who's compatible with me... and I also met non serious men......

I would like to recommend the dating site I used. If u didn't try it, it may work, who knows. At least, u lose nothing, for it's free to join and chat. For more options, they offer interesting and not expensive package. And what i liked is that it's serious site. Well, the most serious I found till now.

I would take a look at the content of your bio. It could be that you have something in the wording that is either scaring them off or they are offended. Maybe you are 50 and are looking for a 25-30 year old. How about copying and pasting the ad with no other information here? I would be happy to critique it for you. And give you an honest, unbiased opinion.

Cause it's can be quite scary sometimes. You hear all these horror stories, and no not everyone is like that, but you still hear them and it makes you think 'oh god, what is he's like that?'

My aunty however has met tons of guys through the net so maybe it's a confidence thing as well. If women have no confidence, it's more than likely they won't want to meet you.

Cause it's scary! I know guys are all gun-ho about it, but for women it can be really intimidating. Especially when a guy is too pushy. Just try to forge an "internet friendship" so they can get to know you a bit, and trust you, before asking her out on teh second email.

nervous. Most women who use a online dating service to get relationships, well anyone for that manner, are usually insecure and have little social skills. They are insecure when they meet cuz they are worried if they'll like them. Majority wise this is the case

They are scared, and are intimidated by this way of meeting guys. For the most part they are wanting only communication and not physcial contact.

i would say it is a safe way to flirt. lonely women want to get noticed and and have nothing else to do if they have an empty nest. husbands tend to forget the romance after years, women still need it, even if it is only in cyber space

b/c maybe they lie about their age or something and don't want u 2 find out. Or they might just b nervous cuz they don't kno if ur really who u say u r and don't want 2 get themselves into something bad.
