Sinus or Infection? Head and throat burning. See the Dr. or not?

Been fighting a sore throat for a week and yesterday it hit me full on. Now my nose and throat are burning and I am coughing up lots of green stuff. Worse at night and I can hear rattling in my chest. I am on an antibiotic for a urinary tract infection but was told it wont help anything else. I get bronchitits easily. It feels like there is a weight right in the middle of my chest making it abit difficult to breathe. I have no temp and am somewhat functional. My doctor can't get me in for a week. I am taking a cough medicine with an expectorant in it . Do I let this run it's course or do I go to urgent care? Both my grandkids have been sick for the last week but they are not coughing any green stuff up.

Update:

Decided to go to Urgent Care as my primary could not see me for a week. Took chest xrays and said I have an infection in my right lung. They are saying it's bronchititis for now and have it rechecked in a couple of days.

See the doctor. They may have to swab your throat for testing. For a viral infection you'll probably just have to fight it back and for a bacterial one you may be prescribed some anti-biotics. The kids can fight these things more effectively than we can.

You can't be any help to them if you're not healthy yourself.

Please consult a respiratory specialist for your symptoms as listed above.. Don't go to a GP because they are not specialised in this.. Coughing up green mucus means serious infection in the lungs..

You are having chest tightness and having dyspnea (breathlessness).. Sounds like you are having a very serious infection and you SHOULD go to the hospital and consult a respiratory specialist fast!!
