Does anybody really think we will have a National Health Care plan in 4 years?

I don't, even if the person I voted for is elected. And I don't care how personal it is for Hillary, it will never happen with her at the drivers wheel.

Update:

I think some things can be done to control cost, but a national universal plan will never happen. Thats why the issue isn't getting any traction in my view.

Update 2:

If I were running I would campaign against it. Not one single person I have ever discussed politics with has discussed the need for a government run health care plan, why Hillary acts like its so dear to her heart I don't know.

    No. We will not.

Nobody is proposing a National Health Care plan.

What is being proposed is keeping everything the way it is and requiring everyone who makes over a certain income to purchase insurance. Under the proposed "health care mandate" if you do not purchase insurance you would probably go to jail or the government would start seizing your property.

    Nothing is going to change.

    Good question.

I don't think it's a good idea at all. The government is NOT responsible for health care. The individual is.

Where has person responsibility gone? Every job I have had (even before I was out of college), provided health care. If they didn't, then I had the choice to do without or keep looking. I am so sick of people looking to the government for everything. no wonder our freedoms are slowing being taken away.

It is wrong for them to even think about it and it's wrong for American people to expect it.

Bad personal choices do not mean that our government has to fix them. Deal with your on choices and consequences. The longer you look to the government to fix things for you, the longer we will live in a controlled government with no freedom. We're in it right now!!!

It is up to the individual to get the education and the skills to be able to obtain a job with benefits. I shouldn't have to pay for those who either won't or can't get benefits. That is taking my rights as an American.

Heck no. That project means as much to a politician as the social security system that they don't contribute to. Don't hold your breath on that one.

If the politicians paid into social security like the common man, the problems would have been solved long ago. Why should a politician try to solve the system when they don't know anything or have a vested interest in it? Much the same with a national health care plan. If we had their health insurance, we wouldn't care as much about the situation.

It won't happen with the Corporate Influenced Candidates.

Obamas/Clinton biggest contributors are from the Health Insurance Industry .

    Look at Ralph Nader's plan:

I agree, Hillary was the only person to really try for a national health plan, but with the health insurance leaders as powerful as they are, there is no hope to bring them down.

No, especially not with a rookie like Obama. But who cares, after Obama, US will never vote democrat again.

I sure hope not. If people think insurance companies are a pain to deal with, wait until you have to deal with the government.

That's just a bunch of baloney made by the Dem. duo fighting for the Dem. nominee and it's BS, that will never get passed Congress, and they know it, but, uses it anyway!

I think that there is a good chance if a democrat gets in,because congress is mainly democrats and may just allow it to pass.

I'm a democrat and I know to answer NO to that question.
