No. Peter Maivia was a huge star in the 60's and 70's for the WWWF. He was the first Samoan superstar and was the patriarch for the family that includes Afa, Sika, Yokozuna, Umaga, Rikishi, and the Rock. He was also a promoter in Hawaii. I got to see him wrestle many times in the 60's and 70's. Maivia will be in the Hall of Fame because he earned it.

that might be part of the reason.
the Rock = ratings
but, "High Chief" Peter Miavia and Rocky Johnson also deserve to be in the Hall of Fame.
so that's the main reason they're being inducted...because they deserve it.

NO! Everything they said on Raw about Pter Miavia was true. The Rock needs to induc thim because if Miavia never became a wrestler, neither would The Rock.

That's somewhat cynical. I mean, Maivia ultimately wasn't as famous or important to WWE history as the Rock, but he is a legend. So, no -- I don't think it is the only reason. It may be A reason, of course.
