What's your favorite song?
And does it have any spiritual/philosophical significance to you?
You can pick more than one if you can't decide, I have two:
"PASSION" (opening version) by Utada Hikaru is one. I find that the way she describes the connections between individuals and time in that song is very realistic and moving at the same time...
I also like "Dareka no negai ga kanau koro" ("When someone's dream dies") by the same artist, because I agree with the idea that when one person's dream comes true, it causes someone else pain, and that it is better to strive to be something instead of striving to have something.
So what's your favorite?
Here's a link to "Dareka no Negai ga Kanau Koro" if anyone wants to listen, since passion is easy enough to find :)

Two songs by Yes top my list:
1. "The Gates of Delirium." Epic struggle between good and evil, with hope for a better future for mankind at the end. Emotionally draining ... the ending note always gives me goosebumps.
2. "Close to the Edge." An abstract spiritual journey, based loosely on Hermann Hesse's book "Siddhartha."
My single favorite piece of music, bar none, is Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D Minor. Just the most amazing, powerful, thundering, emotional piece of musical majesty I've ever heard. About the only thing I miss from my religious days, in fact, is the beautiful pipe organ music.

I think the name of the song is "I Am"-I have the CD at home (where I'm not). But it's by Nicole Nordeman-I tear up every time I play it
