Why would a resonable person do this?

Why would someone bid over $20 on this?

Aren't we in a recession? Do people really have this much money to waste?

I can't really give you a straight answer to that, but I'm thinking (and hoping) that all of that is just a joke. People are ignorant, though. & there is no doubt in my mind that someone would pay that much for something so simple. It really makes me wonder what kind of world we're living in.

Although, it was kind of funny. & if someone is stupid enough to bid that much on an item, so be it. It isn't MY money they're wasting.

Because this is America, and in America we work off of impulse and psychology, rather than logic.

Some moron wants the infamy of being the highest bidder on someone's wood. It's because a bunch of people decided to make a fuss over a guy with a sense of humor and a piece of wood.

These are the same people who drive 45 mph in the left lane on the freeway because they're chatting it up on the cell phone and trying to find the exit for Target.

In regards to the money question - no - people don't really have this much money to waste. They're probably paying for it on credit. Either that or they're a trust fund baby.

    wood for a beaver eh?

perhaps it's a joke and some friends are upping the price on the bid to see if other people will actually buy it? or perhaps someone lonely is interested in it. who knows? why does it bother you what other people wish to waste their money on?

What is the difference between 20 for a piece of wood for a beaver and a doggie hotel....
