Anyone on here breed designer dogs?

If so, do you test the parents for genetic defects?

(Eyes/heart/thyroid/hips etc. etc)

If any of them are here, its is very obvious that they are too ashamed of themselves it admit that they are.

Any proud person wouldn't be afraid to come forward and answer.

I doubt you'll get many answers, nobody like to buck up when you ask a Q point blank. Of course they don't do any testing. This designer dog craze is going to have us ending up with nothing but poorly bred dogs with health problems and crappy temperaments. Seriously, it used to be accepted knowledge breeding mixed breeds was not a good thing, the mark of a BYB. But people have the mistaken thought that it's ok now and of course, as always, it will be the dogs who suffer for it. And guess what? It's STILL the mark of a BYB

** AHH see the poster above me? No health testing at all. I'll give her a thumbs up for honesty at least

No responsible breeder creates mutts on purpose. That's the trademark of a puppy mill or backyard breeder. Most of which are too lazy to do any sort of testing, seeing as how their only interest is MONEY.

Anyone who would even think of making mutt puppies when there are millions dying in shelters every day is a horrible person and shouldn't be allowed anywhere near animals.

  • If I ever even thought about breeding--which I'm never planning to do--I would never breed mutts.
