id go with an ex tranny maybe get it rebuilt and maybe even get a limited slip differential and use lucus for tranny fluid get a low miledge one and it should last you forever

Between the 5 years there is not much difference. The EX and Si have a close gear ratio then the DX, HX, CX, and LX. The 99-00 were the only years to have the SI then.
