Can a 12-13 Year old drive a moped?
Ok so me and my friends are all 12-13 years old and were wondering if we were legally allowed to drive a moped in the state of North Carolina. If so do we need some type of liscense or anyhting? and can we only drive a certain size moped like one 50cc or under? Thanks for your answers

North Carolina law defines a moped as a vehicle with two or three wheels with a motor of no more than 50 cubic centimeters of piston displacement and no external shifting device. Legally, a moped's top speed cannot exceed 30 mph. Although some mopeds on the market have top speeds higher than the 30 mph limit, they are illegal for use in North Carolina. Be sure you know a moped’s size and maximum speed before you buy it. Otherwise, you may not be able to operate it legally.
In North Carolina you must be at least 16 years old and wear a helmet to operate a moped on a public roadway or public vehicular area. The same DWI laws that apply to the drivers of other motor vehicles also apply to moped operators. When riding a moped on a public roadway you must follow all the rules of the road.

North Carolina:
Learner's Permit-15 years
Restricted License-16 years
Full License -16 years, 6 months
Learner's permit must be held for 12 months before obtaining a restricted license; Restricted license for 6 months without any moving violations before obtaining a full license. Certain restrictions still apply to persons under 18, regardless of whether or not they have a full license.
Under any circumstances,12-13 year old are not allowed or permitted legally by any law or traffic rules and regulations to drive any motor vehicle including 50cc and/or under.

Check with your DMV.
Here in British Columbia, you dont need a license for anything under 50cc.
Varies by country/state.
