Did you try this? Many people swear by it.

    Skunk Smell Remover

    1 quart 3% Hydrogen Peroxide

    1/4 cup Baking Soda

2 tbsp Dish Detergent. The stuff for washing dishes in the sink, not something for dishwashers.

Mix the ingredients in a large bowl, because it will boil up like Vesuvius. We are, after all, making an oxygen generator. Wash the dog with this while it is still foaming, because it is the oxygen which reacts with the thiols in the skunk stink to neutralize the odor. If it sits around, it will loose it's efficacy because the oxygen boils off. Don't try to store it in an airtight container, because it will blow up. The brew also works for clothes, humans and unlucky cats.

    some commercial products :

Skunk-off" aerosol; get through Vet Clinic, or catalog of dog supplies through dog kennel or pet shop.

"Nil-Odor" made by Dow Chemical; follow directions and put couple drops in water, and put on furnace filter to circulate air through; can put on dogs as directed.

It probbly will be a while so i would wash the dog in something you can use the mixture they other person gave you but i would be carefull because with the perixoide it can make your dogs fur lighter or have spots that are lighter we used it on are do it did work but it left spots on him. You can also go to the vets and get special shampoo that is what we did the second time are dog got shunked again and that works good and doesnt leave your dog discolored.

My granddaughters 2 labs got sprayed by a skunk and she wet them down then rubbed ketchup all over them, legs, tail, snout, everywhere. Then she bathed them and immediately the skunk smell was gone. Good luck

A smell like that takes a WHILE to get off. Just keep bathing him and everything will be just fine.

call the vet and ask him what you can use to get the smell off him. My grandpa use tomato juice to bath his coon hound in one time but I ouldnt try that first without asking the vet. back in my grandpas time they didnt take their dogs to the vet. Good luck and hope the vet can help you . Poor doggy
