Are these names too much? My boyfreind is french and wants a classic name!?

for boys...

Ryce Dalton

Kenzo Tym

Etienne Pierre

Raf Jo

Tax Ryah

Rean Lone

For girls...

Lariah Love

Galexy Angel

Daelee Rayne Beau

Elysees Arch

Shy La

Ariane Taeo

Stae Charli

i know they are all strange, but eventually people have to change things up a bit... classic names don't give a child a unique identity...

tell me what you think honestly.. thanks for your opinions.x

These are not classic names, and honestly, i would never call my baby girl "Galaxy Angel" or "Elysees Arch"!!!

I would suggest you to try and find real classic names than names given in a certain place ex. Elysees Arch...

On the other hand, i really like "Pierre-Etienne" for a baby boy.

Visit this site, and decide yourself: http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liste_des_pr%C3%A9nom...

I agree with you that unusual names are quite appealing, but the name also has to be user-friendly. My own mother, a rather shy and quiet type, detested her exotic name - and so she gave me a super-common one that doesn't fit my outgoing personality. Since you don't know *who* your child is going to be, find a balance.

So, for boys, honestly - no to all of these. Use Dalton as his given name. Dalton Etienne is cool - a little different, but not a burden. After all, Tax literally means "burden" - a poor meaning for a child's name. Kenzo, Ryce, Raf and Rean all just seem flimsy. The other alternative would be to name your son Raphael, which has classic and artistic (and yet, Ninja Turtle) roots and use Raf as a nickname. Rafael Etienne is also very appealing.

The girls are equally problematic - Stae is a command given to dogs; Shy is something she may well not be. And Daelee? No. Galexy? No. If you use noun names, the cardinal rule is to spell them properly - Daily, Galaxy - so they retain their integrity. Lariah is awkward, though might work in the middle, and Elysees is a needlessly complicated spelling.

Ariane has some possibility, but why not use the mythological Ariadne? She can shorten it to Ari or Addie if the lengthier name doesn't suit. It's a cool choice, and one that has some substance. Ariadne Lariah would be an interesting pairing.

Yes, names do change, and there's no need to call your kid Aiden or Emma - plenty of those already. But the name shouldn't be a burden, either - and most of these ideas are on the wrong side of outlandish.

    Best wishes!

No, for a boy I like Ryce Dalton and Etienne Pierre the most, in that order, those are the only 2 I like of the boy names, I love them actually, they're really nice. I really dislike all of the other boy names, sorry, but you have 2 great names there anyhow. For a Girl I like all of the names except for Shy la, the 2 best are: Ariane Taeo and Daelee Rayne Beau, however I would leave out the Beau and just go with Daelee Rayne, sounds much better. Good work :-)

Being a teacher--I hear all the same names--I am one for unique names. But i honestly don't love any names on the list very much. I guess I don't mind Ryce...but then doesn't it sound like the food Rice? I really dislike Galaxy but I guess Lariah and Ariane are unique and still pretty. I think this girl name night be french and I like it a lot ..Avonlea (Av-un-lee). I have a girl in my class with the name and it is adorable..we call her Avie for short (Av-ee)---really cute name and you'll probably never know another one!

All these are Hebrew to me since I've not a slightest idea on French. But I understand your question in English. My suggestion to you is so sincere that please never name your child the way you've placed here. Don't wipe out the idea of 'naming' a child by the parents or grandparents are a pure 'game' within family! It's good you & your bf decide, feel the romance of an oncoming baby, imagine dozens or hundreds of name, play with those names, dream a lot or discuss with the elders----share the joy of naming a baby with all! It sounds silly to ask & choose names by fixing few names already! Remember, all the answers or suggestions above are sincere, I do admit. AND I'm sure they answered as if it were a 'game' to them! Why then miss the same 'game' to play by you two or others from your family!

Whatever the name you select, my love will be for the little MAN/WOMAN forever & of course blessings too.

Your child's identity has nothing to do with how ridiculous his or her name is. A girl called Emma could have more character than Shylee Love Rayne whatever.

In I'm honest, this list of names looks like the credits for a porn film. I'd scrap the whole thing and start again

That said, Ariane and Etienne are nice

None of those are classic. They all pretty much suck.

If I had to pick the best of the bad, I would choose the following combinations:

    Boy: Etienne Rhys (not Ryce)

    Girl: Ariane Rayne

Etienne Pierre has elegance to it. I love it and for the girl i like Lariah Love. I would take the Taeo off of Ariane and make it Ariane Love

For boys, I like Ryce Dalton and Etienne Pierre

For the girls, I like......Ariane Taeo

    Araine is pretty

Cherri is cute it means dear one

    Renee

    Jolee-pretty
