Have you looked at Internet pages from a different culture? If so, how were they different from those of yours

Of course I have, since my personal situation obliges me to communicate in french (the country where I'm living ), in turkish ( my identity),in english (necessary for everyone) and spanish (for various reasons).

I am interested in discovering other countries'cultures too, despite of the language barrier, so I sometimes take a look at arabian,greek,armenian,israeli newpapers online,even though I don't understand....I especially would like to learn arabic, and the other languages too of course...

Anyway thanks to the internet, that's easier to get in touch with other nations

I am just on the web pages for Greece and Brazil:-)

Greece i know better as they are our neighbors and my aunt is Greek but there is more to discover.

Brazil i don't know a lot of things about. So we will see.

Time to time i check other web pages and i travel. There are same things and also different things.

Some things i find interesting:

1-Nobody understood me in any country when i lifted my eye brows (meaning no) they were thinking i am crazy LOL LOL

2- In most of the countries people make tock tock on the wood not to jinx the event.

3- Non of the friends say " sihhatler olsun or eline saglik".

So after we get out of he bath we wish health to people and we wish health to the hands of the person who cooked for us i didn't meet anyone doing that until now.

Nobody says "use it laughing" gule gule kullan when someone buys something new.

I taught my friends everyone tells this to me now.

4- In France you should absolutely look in the eyes of the person when you are drinking and saying cheers. I think it is very crazy LOL LOL

Everyone looks at you with big frightening eyes LOL LOL

5- We drink coffee from a mug or a small cup, in France they drink it from a bowl.

6- In Turkey if you put your hands into the sauce of the food people will think that you don't have good table manners but in France everybody's hands are in the meal.

Well, these are the first ones...

I like to play Chess on Internet. It 's nice to play and met with all different cultures.
