Will the youth vote come out in November should Obama not win the nomination?

So as many people know the youth of America has come out strong for Sen. Obama. Should he fail to gain the nomination of his party, will the same youth vote come out in November in support of Sen. Clinton?

Additionally, how many people do you think will say "I already voted earlier this year" when November rolls around?

Update:

ilewonder: So will the youth show up???

No, if history is any indication, the youth won't show up in either case.

Best example was Humphrey's defeat during a time of wide spread opposition by colleges and other youths across the nation over the Viet Nam war. Their alleged resolve seemed a lot stronger then than now.

It should prove to be a very interesting election.

little question approximately it. Obama would lack some adventure, yet he's clever sufficient to hire the properly suited professionals to be on his group. The benefit he will have as Preseident is the flexibility to deliver individuals mutually and project classic information. If this race is indicative of his ability to tug people mutually, he would be a out of the undemanding President.

My democratic brother and sisters please listem to me. Obama should bow out because he has no chance of winning the general election against John McCain. Hillary can beat McCain.

Republicans are scared of Hillary and I can prove this. Republicans have been swtiching their party to the democratic party so that they can vote in democratic primaries. These repubs are voting for Obama. Why? Because they want to face Obama in the general election instead of Hillary Clinton. They know Hillary can beat them and they're scared of her. So they are supporting Obama because they know they can beat him. Repubs have all kinds of negative stuff they can use against Obama. For example, Obama was voted most liberal senator in the entire county so repubs will hang the "too liberal for America" tag on him. Rezko. Inexperience. Wants to make nice nice with Cuba and iran. Nafta double-talk makes voters question his honesty since he told one thing to Canada while telling something else to voters in Ohio. Repubs will exploit the fact that Obama is black. I do not care that he's black, but I'm an democrat who supports equality. Remember that most dems aren't a bunch of racists but dems are already going to vote dem. The democratic party has 20 % of the population and the repubs have 20 % of the population. In the general election we are fighting the republicans over the other 60% who are not overly committed to either party. Those people aren't equality minded like us strong democrats. They are a bit racist, and republicans will take advantage of that to get them to vote republican. They will put T.V. ads of Obama posing with other black males and try to make Obama look gangish. They will talk about his admitted past drug use. They will talk about the possibility that Obama's might be muslim or sympathetic towards muslims since he has family members who are muslim. They will talk about Obama's wierd church and church leader. Look at all this stuff the repubs are waiting to use against Obama. All they can use against Clinton is "Whitewater" (big deal this is minor stuff) and Monica Lewinski (Lewinski is Bill Clinton's political black eye, not Hillary's black eye). Repubs have very little they can use on Hillary whereas they have lots they can use against Obama. And it only looks like Obama is better against McCain in the polls because the repubs are skewering these polls. Repubs who have no intention of voting for Obama are telling pollsters that they would vote for Obama over McCain, but it's a big fat lie. These are the same repubs who are crossing over and voting for Obama in our democratic primaries. After the democratic primaries these repubs will go back to being republican and vote for McCain. So why are we democats letting the republican's pick our candidate? Repubs are picking the one they can beat - Obama. Wake up my fellow democrats. The Clinton's have beaten the repubs twice and if we support Hillary then the Clinton's will beat the repubs again. Both Hillary and Obama have things that they can use against McCain but McCain has a lot more that he can use against Obama than he has that he can use against Hillary.

  • For some odd reason Young activists don't show up on election day

I think they love the fight more than the victory
