A Christian is a Christian because a Christian trusts God. I think that might deserve a little mentioning.

Maybe you have the answer. Your question is your sermon.

Work it out by taking it to Christ and asking him what the message should be...working it out in your own life...and then tell the story to your church.

It even works out as perfect for the message you describe. Look in the Gospels: the disciples were completely wiped out...they KNEW Jesus was dead, and all their dreams died with him. They didn't seem to be able to pull it up either.

Just cancel and ask someone else to do it.

They still have 2 weeks to get a sermon ready.

"If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, 'Remove hence to yonder place'; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you."

Matthew 17:20

Incidentally, the mustard seed is one of the smallest seeds that there are.

"Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God".

I can tell you from experience that being diligent in bible study, in attending a good bible teaching church, fellowshipping with other believers, being in prayer, will turn your life around.
