Christians, if you could get atheists to give up just one argument, which one would it be?

And Atheists, is there anything you'd 'just let it rest' about?

Just one mind you, you can get rid of evolution or the Big Bang, but not both.

An all good God allowing evil. I could let that one go. I could explain that pretty easy.

Why don't we "get rid of" the Big Bang, since it was first proposed by a Catholic priest. :)

I wouldn't want anyone to "give up" any argument they had either for or against anything. I just wish some would bother to check into some of the 'facts' they use to create an argument.

tuberoot has all the answers. He seems so smart. Except one serious flaw. You condem others for having faith without proof. What proof of God is there? You have faith in god without proof (your silly little bible is not proof) You also condemn others and call them stupid because they were told to believe something. Well I'll imagine your beliefs were told to you by your parents. The only proof you have of a god is what your parents told you.

Well, as much as I would like to get rid of it we cannot get rid of evolution because their faith will not allow it because if evolution crumbles then they are sunk. I suppose I could choose evolution but this is not practical as this is their Holy Grail.

So, being a realist, the one argument I would get rid of to help them is this....

I would snap my fingers and make them all normal monogamous heterosexuals to get rid of all of their ulterior motives about sexual conduct and the like. This would get rid of the argument that respect of others emotions, morals, and conscious do not matter in the area of sexual expression.

The Atheists lack of brains when it comes to the word, "Faith". Most of them STILL are unaware that they have faith, even though every single person who is not a vegetable has it.

A part of the reason why they are so ignorant is because they think that faith is only a religious term. And someone told them that they had to be irreligious. So fitting in with the crowd (which is ironic), they decided that they don't have any faith - it belongs to those who talk about God, and they don't believe in God - so they don't have any faith.

Well, that's stupid. I have myself shown them the definitions for faith in the DICTIONARY, not the Bible, and they STILL think it's a play on words, a trick of rhetoric, or just a new way some Christian found to bother them.

That's how stupid they want to be.

Here, let me show you what I showed them:

    Faith

    –noun

1.confidence or trust in a person or thing: faith in another's ability.

2.belief that is not based on proof: He had faith that the hypothesis would be substantiated by fact.

3.belief in God or in the doctrines or teachings of religion: the firm faith of the Pilgrims.

4.belief in anything, as a code of ethics, standards of merit, etc.: to be of the same faith with someone concerning honesty.

5.a system of religious belief: the Christian faith; the Jewish faith.

6.the obligation of loyalty or fidelity to a person, promise, engagement, etc.: Failure to appear would be breaking faith.

7.the observance of this obligation; fidelity to one's promise, oath, allegiance, etc.: He was the only one who proved his faith during our recent troubles.

8.Christian Theology. the trust in God and in His promises as made through Christ and the Scriptures by which humans are justified or saved.

Atheists have faith that they are right about what they believe about God. They have faith with no proof. That is something they find is impossible to comprehend.
