Would you just walk away when you see someone abusing a child?
After reading the story about a woman pressure washing her 3 year old child at a car wash on video tape, I am infuriated about the patron that witnessed this and just walked away.
I know that people don't like to get involved but when people are getting hurt isn't it time to step up?
Just curious if I am the only one that would have before I even thought about anything else yanked that woman away from that child?

Wow!! What was this woman thinking? There is no way I could just walk away from something like that. The woman who they show apparently was with the victim and the mother in the car ( that is what the news report made it sound like). If she didn't intervene here I am quite sure if she has witnessed other abuse of this little girl she hasn't intervened then either. It makes me wonder what other "punishment" or torture this little girl has had to endure in the privacy of her own home. The poor thing. I can not fathom the things that parents concoct to punish their kids.
I am glad there was video camera to capture this for evidence purposes and hope they got a good shot of the license plate as they went through!!!

In this day and age strangers need to pay attention and notice what is going on around them.. In the case of the child, if the person/stranger didn't feel comfortable approaching the woman/child they should have at the very least called the police.

Old School says there's times in life, you can't walk away. This would be one of them. Nobody deserves that, least of all a 3 year old. I'd of been knee deep in the hopla, if I saw that happen!!

I would not get involved, but I'd call 911 and hang around till the cops show up.

Not on your life. don"t ever walk away from a child who needs help. If you can't help find someone who can. Put it this way , How would you like it if you were in that childs shoes...

No I couldn't watch that and not say something. OMG. I'd probably turn the hose on the woman.

I wouldn't call the cops because, quite frankly, I don't like the cops, but you damn well better believe I'd intimidate that woman out of what she was doing.

My feeling here is, anyone who would stand, stare and then turn away has actually themselves joined in the abuse.
