I was spending way too much time on here. I managed to get a new job- yeah love it and then another new job part time. So I don't spend as much time as I used to, nice to see it's still the same fussing and feuding.
How to get past the sorrow of your one true love?
Last month my ex fiancee died, We last spoke two weeks before his death as we had remained on good terms. He was one of those people, that fall into the favorite people category forever no matter what. We split up May 09 after 12 years together because of his illness, he wanted to suffer alone and not burden me with the consequences of his treatment. This past spring we spent some time together but I was not ready to come home.
I find out at the funeral from his family that he had refused a life saving transplant because he didn't want to "burden" anyone with his care. iI am devastated by his reasoning because surely he should have known after all our years together I would have done anything to help.
I suppose what I am asking is how do I go about alleviating my guilt?

I was thinking I am to report at 8:00 but thought perhaps it might be prudent to arrive 15 minutes early, does that sound like a good idea?

24 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoIs there an easy way to sort pine needles so that they may be used as mulch?
I have a grove of pine trees that have left a lot of needles on the ground that I would like to rake up and use as mulch in my flower beds. The problem is that intermingled with the needles are lots of sticks, rocks and pine cones-
Is there an easy way besides handpicking every piece of debris out of these needles to get just the needles ?
I could see that picking the debris out could turn this afternoon chore into a life's work- Help

like Rev. Wright , his wife who is just now proud of America, and Louis Farrakhan?

7 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoObama, supporters, how well do you know your candidate:?
After, seeing a number of replies that represents an utter ignorance of Obama's voting record by Obama supporters- I had to post the attached links concerning the "Born Alive Bill" -
The bill written to protect babies that survie the abortion procedure- Obama was the only voice against the bill in his state legislature and it passed at the federal level in 2000 with only 15 votes in the House against it.
Here's some links to look over before you bother to post:

5 AnswersOther - Politics & Government1 decade agoIs this story of a hit and run further evidence of the positive effects of a secular influence on society?
HARTFORD, Conn. — A 78-year-old man is tossed like a rag doll by a hit-and-run driver and lies motionless on a busy city street as car after car goes by. Pedestrians gawk but appear to do nothing. One driver stops briefly but then pulls back into traffic. A man on a scooter slowly circles the victim before zipping away.

After reading this story, about 2 "parents" fighting over what gang thier 4 year old should join all I could think was how important the invention of latex is to our society-These kids have no business raising a child obviously but what are the chances the toddler mentioned in this story will live past their teens if her "parents" promote gang activity-
7 AnswersOther - Cultures & Groups1 decade agoWould you just walk away when you see someone abusing a child?
After reading the story about a woman pressure washing her 3 year old child at a car wash on video tape, I am infuriated about the patron that witnessed this and just walked away.
I know that people don't like to get involved but when people are getting hurt isn't it time to step up?
Just curious if I am the only one that would have before I even thought about anything else yanked that woman away from that child?
